Real engineering geometry

Create real geometry,
not just concepts.

A bracket already has interfaces, dimensions, and dependencies. SurfaceCAD creates actual CAD geometry with editable features and inspectable constraints.

01

Geometry

The selected face, feature, or component grounds the request.

02

References

Interfaces and dimensions describe how the part fits into the larger design.

03

Dependencies

Existing features show what may be affected by an operation.

04

Outcome

The model preserves critical interfaces while updating the requested geometry.

Two modes for design control

What if this interface moved?

Compare possible geometry changes while keeping uncertain inputs visible.

  • Investigate alternate positions
  • Compare an existing and proposed state
  • Identify constraints that need clarification
OPEN QUESTIONS ARE EXPECTED
Built for physical design

Built for engineers
and hardware teams.

Designed for teams that iterate on physical hardware—where rebuilding a part from scratch wastes hours of manual effort.

Interfaces that need to fit.

Mounting patterns, connector access, and component positions tied to the rest of an assembly.

Parts that keep changing.

Brackets, enclosures, and fixtures that evolve as engineering requirements become clearer.

History worth preserving.

Editable, parametric features and recoverable changes instead of unnecessary reconstruction.

Clear answers

Frequently asked
questions about SurfaceCAD.

Clear answers about what SurfaceCAD does and where it is today.

Is SurfaceCAD available to use today?

SurfaceCAD is currently in development. This website includes an interactive demo to show how CAD creation and editing workflows operate.

Which CAD systems will be supported?

The initial intended implementation works inside a host CAD system so edits can remain native and parametric. Specific host support and release timing will be announced as development progresses.

Can SurfaceCAD create new models and modify existing parts?

Yes. You can describe a new physical object from scratch (such as an enclosure, bracket, or holder) or open an existing CAD model and describe the changes you want to make.

Does SurfaceCAD output real CAD geometry or 3D renderings?

SurfaceCAD creates actual CAD geometry—parametric features, dimensions, and standard CAD files that can be 3D printed, machined, or further edited in your CAD software.
