Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Alberto Galván, who runs SurfaceCAD. By signing in you accept them. Questions: surfacecad.ai@gmail.com.

The service

SurfaceCAD is a browser-based CAD tool with an optional AI assistant. It is under active development: features can change, and we may pause or end parts of it. We will give reasonable notice before ending the service and let you download your files.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account and must be at least 16 (18 to buy Pro). You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us if you think someone else is using it.

SurfaceCAD Pro

  • Pro costs USD 20 a month, charged by Stripe at the start of each monthly period until you cancel.
  • It includes the AI assistant with 500 AI requests a period (one request is one message you send) and up to 500 files.
  • To keep costs fair, very heavy AI use in one period can reach a limit before 500 requests; the allowance renews with the next period.
  • Cancel any time in Settings → Plan → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
  • If the price changes, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Your content

Your parts and files remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run SurfaceCAD for you (including sending them to the AI model when you use the assistant). Only upload files you have the right to use.

AI output and engineering checks

The AI assistant and the app’s measurements can be wrong. SurfaceCAD is not a certified engineering tool: check dimensions, fit, strength and suitability yourself before you build, print or manufacture anything.

Acceptable use

Don’t break the law with SurfaceCAD, attack or overload it, try to get around its limits or security, resell access, or use it to design weapons or anything meant to harm people.

No warranty; limits of liability

SurfaceCAD is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after warning you when we reasonably can.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nuevo León, Mexico. If we change them, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
